Singapore … a country made up of one main island and about 60 small ones surrounding it. Total population is only about 5-1/2 Million people. It’s dubbed The Garden City due to the greenhouse climate. Plants and flowers surround you and everywhere you look, it’s green. Amazing and intriguing architecture combine the ancient with the most modern of buildings. Statistics prove its the SMARTEST and SAFEST country on the planet… and I’d have to say the “cleanest” and one of the most expensive. People are very friendly and courteous. No homeless on the streets. Drugs are forbidden and the usage rate is extremely low. The lights after dark remind me of Vegas….but although the laser light show over the river was beautiful, it didn’t touch the Hong Kong Bay laser show we saw a few years back. Be prepared to shower a couple times a day because the humidity will sap your body and sweat will pour. It’s off to North Sulawesi, Indonesia tomorrow for a couple weeks of great diving.
