Exploring Bolivia and the Andes Mountains
We left Sucre early this morning headed south, in search of the Silver Mine city of Potosi. During our journey, we passed by a very tiny village that was preparing for a parade to the local church.

Salar de Uyuni, amid the Andes in southwest Bolivia, is the world’s largest salt flat. It’s approximately 12,000 feet above sea level and is spread out like an infinite white plain.

After a 3 course delicious breakfast, we grabbed our back packs and via private driver & guide set out to explore the Inca Trail and make our way to Aqua Calientes, the small town at the base of Machu Picchu mountain.

Words can’t describe the feeling of euphoria one feels as you step thru the ancient walls on top of Machu Picchu and see this amazing immense city spread out on the top of the mountain.

We flew back to Lima… and were picked up by a private driver and guide to take us south 5 hrs… so we could see the Nazca Lines.
